David Caplan

most all writers on politics these days are fakers and fulminators. They rely on the inability of their audience to engage in connected reasoning, connected logic, especially in these days of limited sound-byte recall. Even before the advent of sound-byte thinking -- or rather emoting -- very few people were capable of connected reasoning or connected logic. The chairman of my physics undergraduate department repeatedly told the class way back in the mid-1940’s that his experience had taught him that only around 0.5 percent -- five per thousand -- of the people were capable of connected logic and thinking.
